Wood herself is a lifelong fitness fanatic, and thinks that maybe she owes that drive to her father, who built the first racquet and fitness club in East Tennessee, where she grew up playing tennis with her father. Jill Wood is the owner of Red Ride Fitness, one of Louisville’s newest gyms and spinning studios, and already one that is attracting a loyal following due to the intense workout at each client’s disposal and the positive and visible results that go with it. Having spent years working as a personal trainer, Wood’s intention was always to create a place that did not simply provide clients with a place to burn calories, but also change their mentality towards fitness, especially outside the gym.

After a lifetime devoted to personal fitness, Jill Wood can sum up her fitness philosophy in four words.

Spin. Sweat. Shred. Smile.

These four words make up the core approach of Woods’ brand-new studio, Red Ride Fitness.

Wood is the founder and owner of Red Ride Fitness, a brand-new state-of-the-art studio focused on spinning technique and full-body fitness consciousness. Red Ride opened this month and will celebrate its grand opening Thursday, Feb. 6 on the eve of National Wear Red Day, the national day of awareness when people are encouraged to don crimson in solidarity against heart disease.

Red Ride’s studio environment will enable Wood and her team of instructors to offer personal attention to their clients via one-on-one personal training sessions and small classes devoted to all-around fitness.

Red Ride Grand Opening

The grand opening “Go Red” event for RED RIDE FITNESS is scheduled for Thursday night, February 6th from 5:30-8:30 PM at the studio, of course.  We want to thank current clients and give newbies a chance to pop in, see the studio, and meet our master instructors.  This annual event, on the eve of National Wear Red Day, shines light on keeping our hearts healthy to combat heart disease, the #1 killer in women.  In most cases, heart disease is preventable, if we take the right steps now to increasing our cardiovascular health.  Spin. Sweat. Shred. Sip this eve…..and Smile!  Sassy red attire encouraged and attendees will have the opportunity to enter their names for free tickets to ride on Red Ride Friday (Spin classes @ 8, 9:15, and 10:30).
